Iniesta signs new contract

The lengthy contract talks between the Spanish international and the Catalan side finally came to and end on Thursday as the midfielder finally committed to Barcelona and ended many speculations of a possible exit.

Ineista is a product of the famed La Misia academy and has made 479 appearances for the senior team since his first appearance in 2002, scoring 48 goals and a 21 trophy haul with the team.

The contract will keep the 29 year old at the club till 2018.
