Wilshere handed two-match ban

Arsenal's midfielder Jack Wilshere has been handed a two-match ban by the FA after being found guilty by the association for making offensive gestures towards the home crowd during his sides defeat at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.

The midfielder was caught by cameras lifting his middle finger towards the home crowd during Arsenal's 6-3 drubbing at Manchester and has been suspended by the Football Association after assessing the video since the match officials didn't spot the incident when it occurred.

The midfielder will miss the Gunners game against Chelsea and the Boxing Day match with West Ham.
