City survive Fulham comeback scare

Yaya Toure opened the scoring with a sublime 20-yard free-kick and Kompany doubled the advantage from close range before the break.

Kieran Richardson then kick-started a Fulham fightback with his first Premier League goal since October 2012, and Kompany inadvertently levelled matters with a sliced attempted clearance in the 69th minute.

But Jesus Navas saved his team-mate's blushes 12 minutes from time, powering home from a tight angle after receiving the ball from David Silva, before James Milner made sure of the three points.

The win stretches City's unbeaten run to six and lifts them to second in the Premier League, above Chelsea and Arsenal who play on Monday, while Fulham remain in the relegation zone.

Arsenal's midfielder Jack Wilshere has been handed a two-match ban by the FA after being found guilty by the association for making offensive gestures towards the home crowd during his sides defeat at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.

Dzeko leads City into Semi Finals

Aleksandar Kolarov opened the scoring early in the first half with a stunning 30-yard free kick and Edin Dzeko doubled the visitors' lead just before the break with a close-range header.

The Bosnian striker piled more misery on Leicester eight minutes into the second half with his seventh goal in eight Capital One Cup appearances and City's 19th in six matches across all competitions.

As Manchester City took their foot off the gas, the hosts grabbed a 77th-minute consolation, Dyer's effort deflecting off Vincent Kompany to leave Hart wrong-footed

Jack Wilshere to face disciplinary actions

The Football Association will wait for the full match report of referee Martin Atkinson before deciding whether to launch a disciplinary case against Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere for an abusive hand gesture towards Manchester City supporters.

Television cameras picked up Wilshere raising his middle finger in the direction of home fans at the Etihad Stadium during the second half of Saturday's 6-3 defeat for the Barclays Premier League leaders.

Following the submission of observations from Atkinson and his officials, the FA will then consider if the matter requires separate action to be taken. Under the FA's disciplinary produces, sanctions can be implemented as was the case with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, who was suspended for one match, fined £20,000 and warned as to his future conduct after he made a gesture to home fans as he walked off the pitch following a 1-0 defeat at Fulham in December 2011.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted in his post-match press conference that "if he did it and he is banned, then we will have to accept it."

Arsenal torn apart by ruthless City

Another dominant home performance by the host saw them put six goals past an unimpressive Arsenal side and cut down their lead on the EPL summit to just 2 points.

The host started the match the stronger of both side and were duly rewarded in the 13th minute when Aguero converted Demichlis's near post flick  from a corner kick.

The duel was set and Arsenal equalized after 31 minutes when Yaya Toure gifted the gunners possession in his own half, allowing the visitors to stage an immediate counter with returnee Walcott converting.

However, Arsenal's moment was short-lived as Negredo helped his side regain the lead in the 39th minute, scoring from point-blank range. Matters worsened for Arsenal as Laurent Koscielny sustained an injury and had to come of for Vermaelen.

Aguero was next to be withdrawn right at the beginning of the second half but it was not a hindrance to the host who added another goal when Fernandinho benefitted rom a sloppy Arsenal defending to curl a beautiful strike past Szczesny.

Wenger's men refused to give up and were soon rewarded for their resilience with Theo Walcott's second for the afternoon as the winger bended a wicked ball into the far corner.

There was no stoping this City side however as Silva restored their two-goal lead with a one-touch effort from Navas's cross.

The host who have made their home ground a fortress sort for a fifth with Nasri throwing many opportunities away but Man of the Match Fernandinho grabbed his second in the 88th minute after a nice footwork to beat Szczesny.

Arsenal grabbed a consolation goal through Mertesacker after poor defending from City but the host weren't done yet as Yaya Toure scored from the spot after Milner was brought down in the box by Szczesny.

The league leaders title credentials have been handed a heavy blow and their critics will have a filled day in assessing what has been an uninspiring performance from the Londoners.

Bayern caught napping by City

Bayern Munich wining streak of 10 games was put to end by a resilient City side who came from two goals down to claim all three points from the disappointing host.

The Bavarian side were up to a dream start five minutes into the game when Muller lost his marker to put a fine finish past Joe Hart from a great across the field pass from Dante. Six minutes later the host will go on to double their lead after Götze got the final touch after several scramble in the box from a Toni Kroos corner kick.

As the game went on it seemed City will receive a hammering and the host will go on to claim another victory but Bayern were duly punished for their complacency in the 28 minute when a Navas cross was not properly dealt with leaving David Silva with an empty goal to drill the ball through. City maintained the momentum and both team went for the break with City a goal down.

The second half began with both teams creating half chances but it was the club from Manchester that got the next goal in the 57th minute with Kolarov equalizing from the penalty spot after Dante was adjudged to have brought down Milner in the area.

Five minutes later the Milner completed the comeback for his side as he squeezed the ball from the far left corner of the box into the bottom right corner after Boateng failed to deal with a Silva cross into the area making the Milner the first Englishman to score for City in the Champions League.

Late substitute Negredo failed to capitalize on a Dante error to put his side for up which would have seen them finish top of the group. However, Bayern were able to deny the English side another goal and ensured they finished top of the group.

Pep issues Neuer "hands off" warning to Man City

The Bavarians' trainer has told Manchester City to stop wasting their time trying to sign the German No. 1 shot stopper. This comes before both side Champions League clash scheduled to take place in Germany tonight.

The big spending Manchester club have even linked with a big money swoop for the goalkeeper as they search for replacement for the troubled Joe Hart who has drop to second choice at the club in favour of Costel Pantilimon.

Neuer, who has been an integral part of the Champions League holders and will not be allowed to leave the club at any point in time.

"No chance," the Spaniard said when asked about the prospect of Neuer signing for City.

The keepers contract with Bayern Munich runs until June 2016.
